I am a practicing psychiatrist and author. I live in Baltimore, Maryland.with my wife. I love languages and words in general. I've lived in a number of countries and have done a variety of things, including teaching, business and medicine. I write to hold a mirror up to myself and my present and vanishing world. My writing often surprises me. I have learned an enormous amount from and with my patients whom it is an honor to try to help.
